New Class Has Already Started.

Well, we didn't have much of a break between the Spring and Summer classes.  This class sounds like it will be interesting and I hope to to able to improve my websites, because I always feel I can't get them exactly the way I want them.  Doug Harvey suggested using Wix,  if we wanted a better look for the site and I think I will try that one.  There will be a learning curve, but I think I can get a better product from this program.  Also, I think learning something new just gives me more options.

Sue wanted the recipe for my hummus, so I am going to put it on this blog.

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Ingredients

  • 3 cups drained cooked chickpeas
  • 1 or 2 roasted red bell peppers depending on size (I use peppers jarred in vinegar not oil)
  • 3 to 4 cloves of garlic (adjust to your taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons lemon juice  (adjust to your taste)
  • 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Place all of the ingredients in a food processor.  Process until mixture is smooth and well blended, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Taste and adjust the seasoning by adding salt, pepper or additional lemon juice, if necessary
Enjoy!

  2. Thanks for sharing the recipe - I am making it tonight for my veggie daughter! She only gets it if she gets home as I may eat it all!

  3. Thanks for the hummus, Jane! Tasted great! Garlic to taste -- or perhaps the number of friends you want to keep?! I am excited to learn about web design, too. I started working with Wordpress and found myself wanting to put my head into a press instead. Am I a moron, or are some of these sites difficult to work with? I feel like I'm trying to pick a pin up off the floor with garden gloves on at times! I started with Wix after Doug said there would be a learning curve to it. Let me sum it up for your -- It's FANTASTIC! Not so hard either. Like you, I want to be able to get the look just right and to date having been banging me head against the wall to do it. Google Sites MUCH better than Bb, and now Wix another step up. Enjoy your break!
